Special Warnings and Precautions for Use
Lipoless® may cause side effects, including:
Acute pancreatitis
If you have clinical suspicion, stop treatment and notify your healthcare provider immediately. Do not resume treatment if the diagnosis of pancreatitis is confirmed.
Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
The risk of hypoglycemia may increase when tirzepatide is administered in combination with insulin or sulfonylureas. Clinical manifestations may include sweating, tremor, palpitations, intense hunger, and anxiety; dizziness; headache; blurred vision; difficulty concentrating; confusion; drowsiness; or behavioral changes.
Gastrointestinal reactions and dehydration
Gastrointestinal reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, are the most common adverse events associated with tirzepatide and may lead to dehydration, with the potential for impaired kidney function. It is recommended to maintain adequate hydration and to inform your treating physician if symptoms are severe or persistent.
Severe gastrointestinal disease
Lipoless® has not been studied in patients with severe gastrointestinal disease, including severe gastroparesis; therefore, it should be used with caution in this population.
Diabetic retinopathy
Clinical monitoring is recommended for patients with diabetic retinopathy requiring active treatment
Hypersensitivity reactions
If signs consistent with a severe allergic reaction appear, treatment should be discontinued and immediate medical attention sought.
Gallbladder disease
Cases of cholelithiasis and cholecystitis have been reported during treatment with tirzepatide. Patients who experience persistent abdominal pain, fever, or jaundice should be evaluated promptly by a healthcare professional.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if:
- He has had pancreatitis.
- He has stomach problems or serious digestive issues.
- He has diabetes-related retinal disease.
- You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- You are taking other diabetes medications, especially insulin or sulfonylureas.
- She regularly takes other oral medications, including oral contraceptives.
